BILAT-USA @ ACCESS4EU Meeting on Lessons Learned & Best Practices

Feb 22, 2012

On 16 February 2011 the ACCESS4EU representatives gathered in Rome to exchange experiences and lessons learned so far. Despite the fact that these projects have a Common Dissemination Strategy which is very well received by all projects, the outcomes and experiences they made in the different regions and countries are pretty different.

The European Commission welcomed the insights into the project activities as well as diverse experiences of all ACCESS4EU projects and highlighted their importance with respect to the upcoming Horizon 2020. BILAT-USA was invited to outline the synergies and benefits it has with the Link2US project, the ACCESS4EU project to the U.S. The complementarity of these two projects allows for a holistic view on EU-U.S. cooperation and focuses on both target groups, EU researchers as well as U.S. researchers. Only in this way obstacles and differences in trans-Atlantic cooperation can be identified and tackled!
