About the Projectaccess4us logo

In General

Link2US will facilitate easy access to relevant information on U.S. cooperation programmes through electronic communities such as a website, e-newsletter, and virtual helpdesk and designated activities such as training workshops.
The Link2US Project will:

  • Map opportunities of U.S. federal collaborative funding schemes and rules for participation through research and analyses.
  • Raise awareness among the European scientific community by disseminating information about programmes and funding opportunities through a multi-faceted network.
  • Identify and analyze potential obstacles to cooperation through these programmes and funding schemes so that they may be avoided and/or that solutions may be found.

Work Packages (WP)

WP 1 is designed to understand the opportunities and barriers to cooperation between European researchers and organizations with those of the United States by collecting data about U.S. federal government collaborative funding schemes, surveying the S&T cooperation agreements with the United States, and monitoring European participation in cooperative schemes in the United States.

WP2 takes the results from WP 1, including the inventory exercise, surveys, and analyses, and develops and implements the most effective methodologies in increasing awareness of access opportunities in the United States to the European research community at large.

WP3 focuses on connecting with the stakeholders in the EU-U.S. S&T cooperative agreement and raising the awareness of the U.S. scientific research funding structure to better take advantage of the opportunities disseminated in WP 2.

WP4 will create the sound management and communication structure.

BILAT-USA (Grant Agreement no: 244434) and Link2US (Grant Agreement no: 244371) Projects are co-funded by the European Union’s Capacities Programme on International Cooperation under the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Cooperation.
