Jun 14, 2011 - Jun 16, 2011

Vienna, Hotel Intercontinental

The Europe / US International Aviation Safety Conference has a long standing tradition: It has been organised and co-chaired by the two main technical aviation safety authorities of Europe and the US for the last 28 years. This year the conference will be held in Europe and we have gladly accepted the Austrian Civil Aviation Authority’s invitation. As a result the conference will be held in Vienna, from 14-16 June 2011, at the Hotel InterContinental Vienna.Under the theme "Enhancing Global Aviation Safety – Future Challenges, EASA, in conjunction with the FAA, have jointly planned an agenda that reflects the current demands of the aviation world. In response to industry expectations for new approaches that will help it to thrive and confront challenges while enhancing global safety, high-level panellists from leading technical bodies will elucidate the challenges in their particular areas and introduce the theme of the conference. Three series of workshops have been designed as a platform for the subsequent parallel workshop sessions that will provide for a constructive dialogue and will give the appropriate impetus in designing solutions on how to achieve the Total System Approach.
