U.S., EU and China meeting on non-food Consumer Product Safety – a common objective

Jul 23, 2012

At the end of June 2012, in Washington, DC a trilateral delegation EU-China-US discussed non-food Consumer Product Safety for the third  time, since the start of the trilateral cooperation, four years ago.

The main topic of the summit was "Product safety surveillance from factory to front door: a cooperative effort".

The trilateral cooperation promotes trust building and better coordination in responses to product safety issues, and while bilateral mechanisms are in place, these discussions also show collaboration commitments between the three parties at the highest level
