Symposium on Transatlantic EU-U.S. Cooperation on Innovation and Technology Transfer will be held on 22nd of March 2011, Vienna.

The purpose of this Symposium is to increase mutual understanding and raise awareness on open innovation processes and structure and operations of the technology transfer and innovation systems in Europe and the U.S.

The Symposium will bring together technology transfer firms, major research organisations, technology and other related experts to discuss the open innovation paradigm, Innovation Union and its implications on EU-U.S. cooperation; development and management methods of open innovation by large companies, R&D Centers and Intermediaries; open innovation’s implications on Intellectual Property, Global Networks and national and regional policies, as well as good practice examples on selected topics of mutual interest including recommendations for tackling challenges to trans-Atlantic cooperation.
