Short Profile Description
Public programmes to assist research are an important innovation motor. As partners of the Federal Government, of the Laender and of the European Commission we see to it that the funding of research is prepared and carried out smoothly through our activity in the field of Research Funding. By providing optimal counselling to the companies and research institutions that are eligible for such funding, we support the goal-oriented translation of research and development results into products that hold out great promise, thereby ensuring the political success of funding programmes. What is more, we draw their attention to new technologies, topics and challenges and actively participate in developing novel research concepts. We thus lay the basis for today’s and tomorrow’s technology to unfold its innovative potential for the economy, for society and, last but not least, for recipient companies and research establishments.Back
