Differential Involvement of Electrically Coupled Networks in Brain Oscillations

Category

FP7 Project with U.S. partner

Short name and number

DIECNBO (221834)

Area

Health

Description

It is generally assumed that the brain generates behaviour through the electrical activity of neurons. Information coding relies on coordinated activity of neuronal assemblies. This cooperative activity of central neurons is embodied in the oscillations and synchronization of neuronal activity among different frequencies bands.

Participating Countries

France and United States.

Name of US Partner

RUTGERS, THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW JERSEY

Contact

INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA SANTE ET DE LA RECHERCHE MEDICALE (INSERM) (FR) / VENANCE Laurent
